The Samurai SSS26-KSK Ai-Madara Sashiko Work Shirt is one of the most genuinely special fabrics the brand has produced in recent memory. For Spring/Summer 2026, Samurai developed an original sashiko cloth that combines natural and synthetic indigo blended dye with brown yarn to create a mottled, spotted surface texture that reads as organic and irregular rather than designed, the kind of pattern that looks like it developed over time rather than came off a loom. The indigo yarn is placed specifically in the sashiko sections of the fabric, where friction and wear are most likely to accelerate fading, meaning this shirt will develop in a highly localized, unpredictable way that no standard dyed fabric can replicate. Triple-needle chainstitch construction, chainstitch runoffs at the gussets, side gussets, double chest pockets, resin button opening, and Samurai's original Union Ticket carry the classic work shirt construction throughout.

Fit Notes: This is what's called the "Western Cut" for all the north American shops that want the shirt to fit a bit larger than traditional Japanese sizing.
