The Graph Zero G8 Flight Jacket takes a mid-century U.S. Navy silhouette and rebuilds it in 13oz nep selvedge denim woven on antique shuttle looms, producing a fabric with an irregular, hairy, slubby texture that was designed specifically to echo the character of early vintage cloth from the period. The G8 is a flight jacket developed in the mid-1950s in extremely limited production, and Graph Zero's reproduction stays faithful to the original specs throughout: compact collar, articulated sleeve construction, ventilation eyelets with gusseted underarm panels for mobility, brass side adjusters for fit, and a shorter boxy silhouette that reflects both the military proportions of the source material and a cut that works just as well today. The olive herringbone lining, hidden inner pocket, and brass Universal and Kentucky U.S.A. zippers are the kind of details that reveal themselves gradually. The nep denim will fade to clear blues with sharp contrasting marks as the irregular texture catches wear unevenly, making each jacket increasingly its own thing over time.
