The Naked & Famous Maekake Dobby takes its name and its weave density from the maekake, the traditional aprons worn by sake merchants and Japanese laborers that were woven tight enough to stand up to sharp tools, heat, and sustained heavy use. The 12.2oz Japanese dobby fabric maintains that structural density while a fabric rinse treatment softens the hand from first wear and coaxes out the layered indigo tones, allowing subtle gradients to develop across the surface over time. A Horween Cavalier Ink Blue Chromexcel leather patch pairs a deep indigo hide with the denim, two materials that will age in conversation with each other the longer you wear them.
